Twitter to use gray checkmark and ‘Official’ label for accounts that are actually verified

Twitter acknowledging some of the issues Anyone can get their account verified by paying $8 dollars.

The company said that in addition to this blue tick, an "official" label will also be given which will be in gray color.

Announced by Esther Crawford on Twitter, who is taking charge of the company’s plans to revamp its Twitter Blue subscription service.

But this "official" label will be given to the selected account.

The "official" label will be assigned to an account that is "government accounts, commercial companies, business partners, major media outlets, publishers and some public figures."

But no instruction has been given for how to apply it.

but the company says that “not all previously verified accounts” will get this label.
