Mediatek's new dimensity chip supports WiFi 7 and Ray Tracing

The Mediatek company has launched a Dimension 9200 chip that is billed as the first SoC to be ready for WiFi 7.

The Dimensity 9200 is a mobile chip that uses the ARMv9 Gen 2 architecture.

The modest chip offers an increase of 10 to 12 percent compared to the Dimension 9000.

MediaTek says the chip is 32 percent faster than the GPU, while using 41 percent less power.
