Despite being a foreign company, Toyota Innova won the hearts of Indians

Since its launch in 2005, the vehicle has been updated several times to suit the needs of the Indian customers. Innova first entered the Indian market in 2005 as an MPV. At that time there was a lot of demand for Qualis in India. The styling of the first generation Innova was completely different from the Qualis in India. This vehicle was made to perform well on the highway and off road.


By the year 2009, the grip of this vehicle had become very good in the Indian market. This is the reason why the company gave a new update to this vehicle in the year 2009. However, in the new update, the company only made a slight change in the exterior look of this vehicle, the rest of the engine features and interior remained the same.


After that a major update was done in the engine of Toyota Innova in the year 2011, when the BS4 norm was implemented in India. The company has upgraded its vehicle to BS4 engine.


In the year 2012, the company launched a new facelift to make this famous vehicle even more stylish. A square-shaped headlamp was introduced in the new vehicle.


Later in the year 2014, the company introduced a large stylish grille in Toyota Innova, after which the look of this vehicle became even more spectacular than before.

In the year 2016, the company launched the Toyota Innova Crysta at the Auto Expo (Delhi), where the deliveries started in May 2016. Since its launch, this vehicle has seen more demand in the sale than the first generation vehicle. The vehicle was offered with diesel-petrol engine options.


In the year 2020, it became mandatory for every vehicle manufacturing companies to follow the BS6 norm. Which Toyota decided to offer Innova Crysta with BS6 engine.

November 2020

In November 2020, the Innova Crysta again received a major update, where the grille and alloy wheels became more luxurious than before. Along with this, some advanced features were also included in this vehicle, which had some other features like parking sensors.

November 2022

As told many times before, this year Toyota Innova Hycross will be introduced in the Indian market, which is an upgrade and new avatar of Innova itself. This vehicle is going to take entry with many advanced design and features. The Innova Hycross will be unveiled globally on November 21, while it will be launched in the Indian market on November 25.
