Twitter’s new owner Elon Musk is planning to relaunch the video app Vine. Musk posted a Bring Back Vine? Posted a poll by name. Through this poll, he asked users whether Vine should be brought back.

On this tweet of his, many users have expressed their views along with voting. Commenting on one user wrote, ‘I think it would be a good idea to bring back Vine. It was a really good platform for creative content and it still has a lot of potential.

What was the Vine app

There was a time when the Vine app was used to post videos on Twitter. Twitter acquired the Vine app in October 2012. The app had over 200 million active monthly users and has seen 1.5 billion loops on the platform since its inception.

The 6-second looping video clip could be shared on the Vine app. But the company discontinued the Vine app service in 2016. And it was changed for the Vine Camera. In the Vine Camera app, users used to get the facility to shoot looping videos of 6.5 seconds.

Elon Musk has his first meeting with employees since taking over on Twitter. While discussing this topic there, Musk said that we have to make Vine an app like Tiktok, where ‘derogatory comments’ are also allowed.
